Greek Festival

Our parish community puts on the 3-day Alaska Greek Festival each August, inviting Anchorage (and beyond) to enjoy our Greek food and culture.
Greek Dancing

Holy Transfiguration Hellenic Dancers, founded in 1985, is a ministry that has been developed to reinforce the ties between the cultural and spiritual values of our Greek Orthodox tradition. These youth dancers range in age from 6 to 18 and consist of three groups: Vorio Sellas (Northern Lights), Asteria tou Vora (Stars of the North), and Asterakia tou Vora (Little Stars of the North). The dancers have performed for numerous Anchorage organizations and events, as well as performing annually at our Greek Festival in August. They have traveled to California and Arizona six times to participate in the Metropolis Greek Orthodox Folk Dance and Choral Festival, where they have received awards for dance, choral and costume.

Stewardship

Facilitates annual stewardship campaign, educates about the focus and themes of Christian Stewardship, sends quarterly statements and answers questions regarding stewardship.
